Humility is a word we usually hear when someone says it is something evident or something lacking in a person, but what does humility mean?
What Humility Means
When we go to the dictionary or do a search on the internet, we see as the meaning of humility; modesty, simplicity, poverty, and even weakness.

For in many times, we discover a certain distance from what its root is actually like with what we know today as its meaning, when I learned the etymology of humility, it brought me surprise and delight.
Humility originates from the Latin humus, "fertile soil", derived in turn from the Indo-European ghyom-, "earth". When I look at this, I understand the positive side in being someone humble according to its root, I cannot help but think of some possibilities for reflection, I note that humility has a connection with being human - human, which derives from humus = Earth.
What humility means, evolving and sharing
When I think that "we are land", I also think about how much this can teach us how to live. With regard to land, we basically have land that is productive and land that is not, from this point of view by bringing it back to us as human beings.
We need to ask ourselves if we have been living a productive life, a fertile life in doing good, in learning, evolving and sharing, or if we are, on the contrary, living in an unproductive way, in a way that does not fertilize anything positive in living with others.

This is a reflection that I carry with me always and I believe that this is the meaning that we should recognize and seek to incorporate into our daily lives, someone who is humble is someone who is able to produce good fruit, to fertilize the good and make a difference in this world.
